Some people hate being ignored. It makes their blood boil. They
love being the center of attention. And that is ok. To each is own. They make
great subjects for me. Subjects that I never thought I would have. Ya see, just a
little over a year ago I purchased my first DSLR. It was a Nikon D60. I planned
on getting a Nikon D40 but the salesperson made quite the pitch and deal that I
could not refuse. I did not think I would be this deep into photography when I
made the purchase. A few months prior to my purchase I was doing some research about website/blog essentials and
I remember one lady saying that you should invest in a good camera. I wanted to
take cleaner shots of the products that I was offering online so I said what
the heck and dropped a chunk of change on a 10.2 mega pixel body. One thing
lead to another and here I am today. The day after I got it I went shooting. I
shot birds, flowers, squirrels and people. That was and still is a challenge
because not everyone likes being photographed by a person they do not know or without
permission and understandably so. It is not easy to discern a documenter from a
pervert or a stalker for that much. You just have no way of knowing what the photo
will be used for. But since I got into photography I have met great street
photographers that just want to capture life as it is, not posed and
unscripted. If I shoot someone outside it is because I think they have a story
to tell and they would compliment my photo. So if you see someone with a huge
camera try not to run, hide, put your hand up or say get that damn camera out
of my face. Most of us would actually prefer it if you just ignored us. Artist Gonzalo smiles for the camera. Check out the work of a talented brother here.
