Since the days my mother made Halloween costumes for my brothers
and I, standing out from the rest was something I inherently did. She
always stressed not to follow others. So while other parents bought
their children packaged costumes, she sewed ours. If everyone was
wearing black, I was wearing gray. If everyone was wearing baseball
caps with the snaps, I was wearing fitted hats. If everyone had a cold,
I had surgery. I couldn’t help it. I just had a knack for being
different.
One morning while endlessly trying to find
something to wear, something different, I thought this would be much
easier if I made my own shirts. Thus Brock Mills Clothing was born.
My
goal has always been to bring art and fashion together in a way that
has not been done before. Giving that creative and different thinking
individual the opportunity to enjoy something that is limited to him or
her. Giving you the opportunity to express your individuality. Allowing
you to play a part in what you wear. And, at the same time leaving an
impression that mimics art.
Brock Mills creates custom made t-shirts and sweatshirts to satisfy that need to be you. Most styles will be limited edition runs to help ensure that your style will be yours, and only yours.
I started this blog so that I would have
the opportunity to expand my clothing line and at the same time
maintain an ongoing relationship with the people who will play an
integral part in my success. I also will give tips and advice when it
comes to making custom clothing. I work in an art store so if you have
any questions unrelated to fabric art, but related to art in general
please feel free to contact me. If I don’t have the answer I will
consult someone who does and get back to you in a timely manner. Feel
free to contact me at brockmills@brockmills.com. I can also be reached on my cell phone at (212)729-3649.
